The DNA Analysis Facility's oligonucleotides are synthesized on either a Perkin Elmer, Applied Biosystems Division (PE/ABd) 394 or 3948 DNA Synthesizer. Synthesis reagents are obtained from PE/ABd and Burdick & Jackson.

DNA templates are sequenced using the flourescent dideoxy terminator method of cycle sequencing on either an Applied Biosystems Division (ABd) 3730 or 3730xl DNA Analyzer following ABd protocols.

All consensus sequences are generated using the Sequencher Software from Gene Codes.
