Sequencing
We provide sequencing services using both Sanger Sequencing and Pyrosequencing, with fast turn around times. All data is available on the JHU ordering server for download via the web at any time. Samples are handled in our lab and are not sent out to an outside facility. Sanger sequencing can be used to sequence plasmids, PCR products and large molecules such as BACs or PACs. Pyrosequencing is ideal for short PCR products, using specifically designed primers and assays. Qiagen also sells kits for some standard assays. High Throughput (NextGen) sequencing, including whole genome sequencing is available through the GRCF High Throughput Sequencing Facility.
